Week 4 on Medifast – Bye, Bye, Fat Me!

Gone are the days when I would plop myself in front of the TV and devour an entire bowl of spinach dip, a loaf of French bread and a 2-liter of soda. Yes, I used to do that. I could eat a 12-piece order of hot wings, 4 slices of pizza and a 2-liter of soda in one sitting. It’s no wonder I went from 135 to 180 in three short years, and then ballooned to over 200 lbs in another three years.

Truth be told, I wasn’t ever that hungry. I ate because I could, because I had nothing better to do.

This week on Medifast was a telling one. I ran out of MF food on Tuesday, and as of this morning, I am still without. A huge part of me was upset that I had come so far, and now I would be forced to ‘cheat’ because I had no food. But instead of reacting to the situation, I stopped to really think about it.

Did I really have to cheat? No.

Could I still remain on plan even if I had no Medifast food left? Yes.

Did I want to use this as an excuse to have one of those Halloween cupcakes sitting on the kitchen table? Yes. No, I didn’t.

Instead, I chose to remain on plan and eat 3 Lean & Grean meals. To my surprise, my decision had been right on the mark, as my dietician later suggested I “have 3 smaller lean & green meals (4-5oz of meat and the full vegetable portion) and 1 serving of a fat-free dairy (skim milk or yogurt).”

I managed to stay on plan and still lose weight this week, which in my book is pretty amazing. Had I tried to do that a few months ago, I doubt I would’ve succeeded. I feel it already, I am becoming a different person. I am changing.

I acquired more ittnreseing things on this weight-loss issue. One particular issue is a good nutrition is tremendously vital whenever dieting. A big reduction in junk food, sugary foodstuff, fried foods, sugary foods, pork, and white flour products could possibly be necessary. Possessing wastes organisms, and toxic compounds may prevent desired goals for shedding fat. While selected drugs briefly solve the matter, the bad side effects are not worth it, and in addition they never supply more than a short-term solution. It is just a known incontrovertible fact that 95% of celebrity diets fail. Thank you for sharing your thinking on this weblog.
