The end of Halloween usually marks the beginning of holiday shopping. With all the hustle and bustle at the malls and in-stores, I choose to do the majority of my shopping online. It’s convenient, easy and most of the time, I find the items I’m looking for at a better price than I would at an actual store.
If you know me, you know one of my absolute favorite places to shop online is Amazon.com. Their prices are great and I love Amazon Prime shipping. But even with the great prices, I always find myself checking for Amazon Promo Codes.
Just the other day, I purchased a dollhouse that was going to be the girls’ Christmas present. It was a $250-$300 dollhouse at every other online site, but at Amazon it was only $120! Since purchasing it, I’ve decided to actually make the dollhouse a project for myself, that I would give to the girls in about 2 years or so. Seem like a long time? Yes, it is. But I plan to make this the most awesome dollhouse ever. And after browsing dollhouse furniture and other goodies, I’ve realized that this is going to be one costly and time consuming project. Plus, a 2- and 3-year-old would not be able to play with this kind of dollhouse, so I figured I could turn it into a project and give it to them in a couple years.
So now it’s back to the drawing board for a present for the girls. I’m still unsure of what I’m going to buy them. Eleanor has requested everything under the sun. Isabel, on the other hand, is not as demanding.
I know I’ll be spending quite a bit of time doing some online window shopping and comparing prices. But nothing really beats online shopping with Coupon Codes. I get to stay home, save money, and not have to worry about shopping with the girls in a crowded store and attempting to buy them something without their knowing– a very difficult task. I don’t know how us moms do it.
I’ll be doing most of my shopping online too, and I’ll definitely be seeking out those codes.
oh Leilani this brings back wonderful memories because my grandfather built me and my sisters a dollhouse back in the day that was black and white and looked almost identical to this one!! I havent bought any christmas presents which is so unlike me!!
My goal this year is to shop locally as much as possible. I live in an eclectic neighborhood with many eclectic shops. I really love supporting the locals!

I love to do holiday shopping on line but getting it at a better price is perfect.
Have fun with the project! I’m an Amazon junkie. It’s hard to get out of the house to shop with a toddler and newborn so I’m thankful for my Prime membership.
Amazon isn’t great for Canadians, but there are other sites that I like using for online shopping. I love the doll house! I’m sure they will love it when they get it.

I do a lot of my shopping online also. It’s easier when you have three children you have to tote around.
Thank goodness for online.. I wouldn’t get much done without it since I have a newborn it’s hard to get out.
At least 80% of my Christmas shopping last year was done through Amazon.

That’s a really good idea to wait giving it to them — you’ll be able to make it super cool and they’ll be old enough to care for it.
