DIY Halloween Yarn Wreath

The girls and I have been doing quite a bit of crafting lately. We’ve been trying to make our apartment a little more festive for Halloween. I’ve been wanting to create a Halloween wreath for weeks now. Its a really simple and easy project. So yesterday the girls and I headed to Michael’s and picked up some supplies.

DIY Halloween Yarn Wreath

1. Straw Wreath (comes in various sizes; I used an 18 inch)
2. Yarn in your choice of color
3. Assortment of Halloween foam stickers

I simply wrapped my straw wreath with purple yarn until it was completely covered. Tip: Keeping the plastic on the straw wreath makes it easier to wrap. Then, I used some black yarn to create a web in the center, and decorated with some Halloween foam stickers. Easy peasy and the kids can help place the stickers on the wreath! I’m still looking for the perfect spider to place on the web.

The best part is this project is so simple and affordable that you can create your own wreaths for Thanksgiving and Christmas, too. We definitely will be!

That is a really cute wreath. I am trying to make one with twine but it is taking forever to wrap.

Clever reuse of your wreath form, it tuernd out so cute! Love the flowers,I use those too. You could hide the slight problems with this wreath’s shape by using loads of Christmas balls or pine cones. Or add a layer of batting to even it out before yarn wrapping it. There might be another life for this wreath yet.
