DIY Minnie Mouse Gift Wrap

I’ve been dying to try out my new toy…

Xyron Creatopia

It’s the Creatopia by Xyron and it is an awesome crafting machine. It can cut, laminate, emboss, die press and apply adhesive. And the awesome part is it doesn’t even need batteries or electricity! You simply turn the crank handle.

So last Sunday was my niece’s first birthday. Today is her big Minnie Mouse themed birthday party. I wanted to make her gifts look extra special so I decided to stick with the Minnie Mouse theme and spice up my plain brown kraft wrapping paper, which just happens to be my favorite wrapping paper ever. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to try out my Creatopia and use it to apply adhesive to the Minnie Mouse cutouts I made.

I literally took it out of the box for the first time, lifted the tray up…

…folded it down and slid it in towards the machine…

…and it was ready to go…

DIY Minnie Mouse Gift Wrap

The Creatopia was a breeze to use and I love that I didn’t have to fuss with any messy glue sticks. And look how great my gift wrap turned out…

For the small Mickey Mouse mouse cutouts, I used my small fondant circle cutters, and the girls’ Mickey plates for the larger ones. The bows, letters and numbers I cut out free hand.

For anyone interested in recreating this, you can use this Mickey Mouse template and this Minnie Mouse bow template as your guides. Just resize, print, cut out and trace onto your paper.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful niece, Eva Rose! Auntie Lei loves you.

Stay tuned for more projects created with the Creatopia, as well as an upcoming Creatopia Starter Kit giveaway. Interested in purchasing your own Creatopia? Visit MyBinding.com!

Disclosure: I received the Creatopia at no cost to me for review purposes. Opinions here are my own.

What a great machine! Wish I was creative enough to use it! Sadly I have to cheat :( I have found a great website called http://www.domandgeri.com who do personalised cards and matching personalised gift wrap (which I’ve never seen before) You can upload a picture of someone and personalise the text especially for them. I would highly recommend them…if you have no creative streak. The wrapping paper created more attention than the gift!
