Reclaiming our Bedroom

So Paul and I are nearly done with our bedroom makeover. If you remember last week, I shared my design concept. Well, here it is come to life. We do still have a few finishing touches to add, as we don’t have the complete bedding set, and there are a few things we need to tweak. But for the most part, the layout will most likely stay the way it is.

I’m still trying to figure out what to put on top of the nightstand. Definitely something to add some height to it.

Now that we no longer have a tall chest blocking our window, more natural light is able to enter the room. If you know me, there’s nothing I hate more than artificial yellow light. Ack.

So what do you think? I know you’re probably wondering where the before pictures are, but I’m not sure I’m ready to share what a hot mess our bedroom used to look like. Just imagine a dim room, with two toddler beds, a Cal king bed and box spring on the floor, and a tall chest with a TV blocking the window. It was a disaster.

It’s so nice to have a room to call our own. I absolutely love it.

I once tried stairs for my dogs…. I think that they like me having to get out of bed to lift them on since they will not use the stairs. Seriously sucks when you have 4 dogs going potty at all different times of the night… lol

Lol, I can’t even imagine doing that. Luckily for us, Bella loves her stairs, and so do the girls. Now they all can get on and off our bed easily.
