When it comes to clothes, you would think that Isabel would be the tomboy with her nomadic ways (eating with her hands, rough housing, “rawr”-ing, etc), and Eleanor the girly girl always wanting to look “pretty”. But you’re wrong.
Eleanor has been very adamant about picking her own clothes lately. Trying to get her to wear what I want her to wear has become a daily battle. Some days it’s, “No, mommy! Princesses don’t wear pants!” Others it’s, “No, mommy! I pretending to be a boy.” Since starting soccer two weeks ago, it seems she’s pretending to be a boy more often than not.

Isabel is also starting to exercise her independence and voice by telling me she wants to dress like a “princess” or a “ballerina” whenever I tell her its time to get ready. Have you ever seen a 2-year-old princess/ballerina tackle her 3-year-old sister to the ground? Yeah, my little brute is a girly girl.

I’m sometimes amazed at how different these two are- in personality and appearance. One looks just like me, and the other just like Paul. Yet, I can see a little of us both in their mannerisms.
If you have more than one child, how different or similar are they from one another?

Your daughters are beautiful.
hahaha this is so funny! I Love the “I am pretending to be a boy”. I played select soccer for a few years and didn’t touch dresses and despised the color pink!
Very cute!
They are both adorable and I love that you have one of each!
