Summer Picnics

Marlin Park
Marlin Park
One of our favorite family activities is having picnics at the park because it’s a win-win for everyone. The girls get to play in the playground and burn off tons of energy, but only after finishing their meal. It’s genius, I tell ya! Too bad not all meals can be picnics at the park.

Luckily, now that summer is here we can have as many picnics as our hearts desire. Plus, with that beautiful park, beach area and view, why not! Right? Unfortunately, the day I took these pictures, it happened to be the one overcast day of the week. Boo.

World Market Picnic Basket
So last week Soleil and I went shopping at Cost Plus World Market. I’ve shopped there a few times before, but usually only during the holidays. I told Soleil we were buying items for our picnics, and boy was she excited! The first thing she wanted was a picnic basket and she chose the one above. Isn’t it just such a perfect picturesque picnic basket?

World Market Ceramic Retro Tank
I had my eye on a beverage dispenser and there were a few to choose from. After seeing this retro one was on sale for 50% off, you bet your bottom I snagged the last one they had in stock. SCORE! ::pats self on back::

Now these are probably one of my favorite finds at Cost Plus. I had to do some digging to find these, as they weren’t displayed on the floor. But aren’t they the cutest little food domes? These are picnics must-haves, especially if you’re not particularly fond of having flies in your food, which I am NOT. They even have a nifty closure to ensure your food stays covered.
World Market Burger Basket
I even purchased some cute burger baskets and liners to put our food in. They make cleaning a breeze and it saves tons of room in the picnic basket, as they stack up nicely. Clearly, I forgot to take a good picture of those. ::facepalm:: Doh.

Cost Plus had a ton of other great items that I absolutely loved. I am dying to go shopping again there soon!

And of course, a post wouldn’t be complete without pictures of my three beautiful babies.
