The Day I Became a Mom

Eleanor Roosevelt Quote

Not every woman has the opportunity to become a mother, so it is a title I feel honored and blessed to have.

Every May, I can’t help but think about the day I became a mom. I mean, with Mother’s Day and the girls’ birthdays in May, how can I not help but reminisce? It was definitely an experience to remember! And a somewhat traumatic one, at that. Yet, every year as Mother’s Day and May 20th approaches, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment, empowerment, pride, happiness and love.

So in honor of Mother’s Day, I thought it would be nice to share our birth stories with one another with a linky party. I always enjoy reading the birth stories of other mom’s because it’s interesting to see how different each woman’s experience truly is.

With that said, link-up below and feel free to help spread the word. The more, the merrier!

Although I was super happy to become a mommy, I didn’t exactly have the most pleasant birthing experience. Even 4 years later it is a bummer to talk about. Who knows, maybe writing a post about it will help.

Because my daughters are a little older, 6 and almost 3, I never thought of writing about their births. I think it would be great for them to have the stories written down when their older, so maybe I’ll link up after all :) Btw, I absolutely adore that quote.

I think this is a great linkup idea! My son is 3 and I haven’t blogged about his birth yet. Makes me think maybe I should write a post for him :) thanks for the encouragement
