Believe it or not, I actually ordered my wedding dress without ever having seen it in person. None of the bridal stores in my area had the particular dress I wanted in stock. So I ordered it blindly. It was a Maggie Sottero Tuscany in Light Gold with Light Gold Champagne lace. No white wedding dress for me. My wedding veil was ordered online from VeilShop.com and my RSVP shoes ordered online from Zappos. Both were a light gold/champagne, as well.
About my wedding dress
One-piece, satin and lace, strapless, button back gown. Asymmetrical tiers of lace and satin sweep across the waist and are ruched gently into the side seam. A fluted lace accent cascades at the side of the gown. Swarovski crystals ornament the side drape. The back is created with an inner-elastic hook and eye closure with functional button and loops asymmetrically placed for added drama.
And because my dress weighed a gazillion pounds, I changed into this sexy number. Here I am chugging a Corona at the reception. What can I say? I’m a classy chick. I kid. But what I wouldn’t do to have that body back!

i love your gown, leilani! mine too was a maggie soterro! how cool that we have that in common. your gold number is sizzlin!
Very cool! Maggie Sottero was very popular when I got married. Now after watching countless episodes of “Say Yes to the Dress” on TLC, I realize it’s actually a lower-end dress because of the price-point. I thought spending 1K on a wedding dress was a little ridiculous. Then I see women on TV spending an average of 5K and I’m like ::jawdrop::!
gorgeous dress
Thank you!
So beautiful Leilani! I love your dress! Both of them, actually!
You were a smokin hot bride!! Love both dresses! And yes, the Corona stright from the bottle is the secret move of all us classy gals. I was so excited to see your link. I’m a huge fan from afar and stalk you on both Twitter and Facebook!
Thanks for linking up!
