What’s lurking under your kitchen sink?

Paul and I scrapped all harsh cleaning products from under our kitchen sink back in 2009. I distinctly remember being pregnant with Soleil and we were cleaning our bathroom. The smell from the cleaning product was so strong that even with a face mask on, I could smell it. I knew it was not healthy for me to inhale all those chemicals, especially with a baby baking. From that day on, Paul and I vowed not to use anymore of those types of cleaning products. We turned to good old fashioned vinegar for cleaning, and rubbing alcohol and water for glass and windows.

However, using vinegar to clean stains or the bathroom isn’t exactly the most effective solution. There were times I wish I had other products to use, especially when our house would wreak of vinegar. And thankfully, I found my solution: The Get Clean® Starter Kit from Shaklee.

Another plus? You would spend $3400 for ready to use cleaners to get the same amount of clean found in the Get Clean Starter Kit (based on comparing number of uses as set forth on product labels of conventional, ready-to-use cleaners)!

Shaklee Review & Giveaway

My favorite products from the kit are the Germ Off Disinfecting Wipes and my Basic H2® spray cleaners. The Disinfecting Wipes are perfect for households with kids, especially when you have little kids who still put play food in their mouths, or wipe their snots and boogers on things. Gross, but true. And while I am still a fan of using vinegar to clean, I am glad to have alternatives that keep me from having to put in extra elbow grease.

The Giveaway

Interested in trying out Shaklee products yourself? Well, Shaklee is giving one of my lucky readers a Get Clean® Household Mini Kit ($46.95 retail value).

We actually do not buy cleaning products anymore, but I do agree that somtimes vinegar just doesnt cut it and I have often thought about looking into Shaklee. So right now there are no chemicals under our sink except vinegar and essential oils.

I know we have chlorine bleach and I’m sure some others are there as well. We are slowly trying to convert everything to greener products but they are so much more expensive and I hate to toss out a full bottle to replace with a greener one…I’m too cheap! LOL
